Founded in 2014, EclecticIQ is a leading European cybersecurity vendor operating worldwide with teams across Europe, the UK, and North America, and via value-add partners.
History
EclecticIQ (formerly Intelworks) was founded in 2014 by Joep Gommers and Raymon van der Velde in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. With their firsthand experience running one of the leading threat intelligence teams in the industry, they understood first-hand the importance of analysts, tools and data in the cybersecurity battle. They set out to build analyst-centric products and services that improve organizations' cybersecurity defenses.
Series A and B funding rounds, in 2016 and 2017 respectively, helped grow EclecticIQ into one of the world's foremost cyber threat intelligence technology and services vendor. In the same year, we opened the North American regional office. In May 2020, PolyLogyx, an innovator in the field of endpoint security technologies, joined the EclecticIQ family.
December 2020 saw another exciting chapter for EclecticIQ, with €20 million raised in Series C funding. This brings the total investment in our company to €47 million over a four-year period, making EclecticIQ among the best funded global cybersecurity scale-ups based in Europe.
With the successful acquisition of its endpoint talent and software capabilities in 2023, EclecticIQ continues to be committed to helping governments, large enterprises and service providers manage threat intelligence, create situational awareness and adopt an intelligence-led cybersecurity approach.
April 2024 marks another milestone for the company where after a decade of committed leadership, Joep Gommers steps down as CEO with Cody Barrow to succeed him. The company’s focus remains on providing best-in-class security products to our customers.
